Felt is an non-woven form of textile. It is made by compressing and matting fibers (sheep's wool) until they bond into a firm fabric. Cats are strongly attracted to the fabric because of lanolin oil, which gives wool antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

Note: As with any toy, you should pay close attention to how your cat interacts with it. If your cat eats the wool, remove it immediately. Preferably do not leave these toys when you leave.
