Most cat lovers are not really satisfied with their litter boxes. Let's face it, those plastic tubs, even if they are cheap, smell like cat urine after a short time. Most of the time, they can't be cleaned properly after just a few weeks. This is because cat urine is simply very aggressive and the open-pored surface of plastic is simply not suitable for this. Cat urine or feces always penetrate the surface and settle in the depth. This can no longer happen with stainless steel. This litter box can always be cleaned hygienically by simply washing it out - without leaving any residue.

The urine and uric acid penetrates the surface over time and can no longer be removed. Frequent scrubbing or scratching by the cats only makes the surface more susceptible to odors. Bottom line: after a few months it smells extremely and is usually replaced with a new plastic cat litter box. Even worse are the cat toilets for which you have to buy plastic inserts or special bags regularly: not a good solution for the environment and the wallet.
